Historical remnants of oil & gas producing sites are receiving increased attention. Typically considered remediation options might include a combination of excavation, disposal and replacement of top soil. In-situ remediation with plants, microbes, and other soil amendments offers a cost effective alternative that allows the feasible remediation of these sites. Once solved, these sites may offer environmentally sound leases for further exploration and development while also eliminating further impacts to the environment and ecosystem. ALL is skilled at designing and supervising phyto remediation of chloride impacted soils and microbial treatment of hydrocarbon impacted areas. An innovative tool for remediation in Kansas was developed by ALL Consulting through the Kansas Corporation Commission in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (NETL) and the Kansas Biological Survey. This tool is an Internet-based "Site Specific Brine Remediation Planner" for determining the amount of soil amendments, irrigation, planting plan, and annual schedule for implementing the plan.
