Hammerschmidt
Sustainability
Developing
and managing a dynamic, environmental sustainability
program is Ted Hammerschmidt's objective.
He can deliver on that objective through
his background experiences. Ted has led
a Public Works organizational team of over
300 personnel engaged in delivering engineering,
planning, environmental, housing, maintenance
and operations, fire and emergency services
to a large military installation with a
population served over 90,000. He also has
overseen the most diversely successful environmental
program in the Army. During his tenure as
Director or Deputy Director, he facilitated
real property land interchanges with USFS
and a 204 acre donation to the state of
Louisiana to develop a national cemetery.
Previously, while working
as business manager for Engineering Resources
at the Joint Readiness Training Center,
Hammerschmidt served as installation staff
expert in matters pertaining to industrial
engineering, work management, work classification
and project definition. He has supervised
five branches involved in budgeting and
resource allocation, supply management,
work management, automation systems and
community support. Additionally, he has
supervised and managed installation solid
and hazardous waste programs, air and water
quality, noise abatement, energy conservation,
asbestos and radon identification and abatement,
oil reclamation/solvent service and the
management of cultural resources.
Ted attended Louisiana State
University to complete a BS in Industrial
Engineering.
