Geographic Information Systems

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are a combination of data, software, hardware and people. This combination provides the ability to critically analyze spatial relationships between multiple phenomenon to allow more efficient, accurate, and scientifically based decision making.

ALL maintains a GIS service center and provides custom GIS software solutions services as well as mapping, data analysis and manipulation, and training. We have successfully used GIS for projects related to oil & gas, cultural resources, environmental studies, underground injection, resource management, waste management planning and water. These projects have ranged from large area mapping to web-based environmental data management tools.

ALL provides services through all phases of GIS development including concept development, planning, design, data creation and acquisition, metadata creation and warehousing, database development, integration of historical data, and spatial analysis.
